Over the past several months, we have been holding workshops throughout the DRB to collect input on drivers of land use change. We are extending that conversation so that citizens, business leaders, conservation professionals, and others can have the opportunity to weigh in.
This land use survey is part of a collaborative effort to map, model, and monitor land use change in the Delaware River Basin. Our goal is to identify a guiding vision to promote regional planning in the watershed, so that our civic and business leaders can make decisions which produce lasting benefits for the regional economy and quality of life.
Over the past several months, we have been holding workshops throughout the DRB to collect input on drivers of land use change. We are extending that conversation so that citizens, business leaders, conservation professionals, and others can have the opportunity to weigh in. This survey presents results from our DRB2070 workshops. We are asking you to confirm (or refute) our initial findings, and to provide input on future possibilities for the entire watershed. The information you provide will be used to draft land use scenarios, which we will use to model alternative futures for the Delaware River Basin in 2070.
We will be collecting responses until August 1st. The information from this survey will then be used alongside our workshop data to develop future land use scenarios in the DRB. Generating land use scenarios will require input from many individuals so that the storylines can reflect a shared vision and not just one opinion. Please take our survey, and consider sharing it within your professional and personal networks.
