Our collaborators at UVM Spatial Analysis Lab have released the high-resolution land cover dataset for Delaware state. Datasets for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York are expected to be released in Summer 2016
Generated with a combination of high-resolution imagery, LiDAR, and existing vector datasets, this is the most detailed, highest accuracy land cover dataset ever developed for the state. The thirteen land cover classes used in this dataset complement those used by the Chesapeake Bay Program: background, water, emergent wetlands, tree canopy, scrub/shrub, low vegetation, barren, structures, other paved surfaces, roads/railroads, tree canopy over structures, tree canopy over other paved surfaces, and tree canopy over roads.
